Cadline’s CadSHARE application allows you to fully integrate your AutoCAD Drawing Files with SharePoint.
CadSHARE is an AutoCAD plugin that integrates directly with your current SharePoint implementation and user access is managed via a controlled login panel. Users can access their Drawing Files from a SharePoint repository more easily and the application ensures they are not storing important files on their local drives which could become corrupt or lost.
CadSHARE enables your organisation to better manage version control on your Drawing files. If users make changes to their Drawings and save those changes back to SharePoint, the versioning module enables them to incrementally update the version of the file, as well as auto create comments and descriptions for those changes. All versioning is performed within the application, without the need to open a web browser and make changes within SharePoint itself.
Conflict resolution is managed between your users, as Drawing Files are Checked Out before editing can take place. Checked Out Drawing Files can still be opened by other users, but only in Read Only mode, so that you can be confident that there is only one source of truth without multiple duplicate files making your SharePoint repository unmanageable.
CadSHARE also allows your users to quickly insert Blocks and Xrefs from shared resources, so that users don’t need to email or copy large files over the network.
